QR Code - Teamwork in action
Our term focus is teamwork, so yesterday Room 9 worked in teams with Room 2 on a teamwork activity. Each team was given an iPad. They had to move around the school and find QR Codes. Using QR Reader each team discovered the next task. Tasks varied from telling your group a little about yourself to using other apps to show their thinking around teamwork.

I was really impressed with how well the teams worked. The team in the picture worked hard on this activity to move a hula hoop around the circle without using their hands. Great work!
Mindlab
We had a fantastic time at the Mindlab this week. Our learning was vast and varied. We discovered, during our Makey Makey session, how electrical connections can activate a sound, we also tried out some programming. Stop animation was a favourite activity for many. We used our fable stories and animated our characters. We worked on some computer programmes to achieve the animation which involved alot of new learning. I was really impressed at how quickly the class picked up all the new technological learning.
We were also lucky to see some robotics and programming, as well as play with some tablets that had Aurasma (an APP).
Most of the class stepped into a virtual world with the help of some google cardboard and a smart phone. Very clever indeed.
